The SIPOC Analysis Sheet is a tool to help understand the flow of value from supplier to the customer. SIPOC is the acronym for Supplier-Inputs-Process-Outputs-Customer.

In practical use, a simple form such as this has limitations. Suppliers often feed inputs through several processes, and a process may use several suppliers. To prevent confusion, select one of the categories as a base, and list the other categories multiple times. For example, list all the process steps in sequence, and write in the same supplier multiple times if it has inputs in multiple processes.

The purpose of the SIPOC Analysis Sheet is to paint a clear picture of how the suppliers and processes interact, and how to define the inputs of a process so customers receive consistent outputs.
